This is going to be a very short blog, as I believe the focus needs to be the response to this passage. The character of a leader is key; if they are not above reproach they can be easily undermined. There are many stories of Christian leaders who have fallen into disgrace and by doing so, have damaged their church, and the outside impression of Christianity. Paul tells us in this passage that this attack on leaders is a “snare of the devil” (v7).
We therefore need to pray for our leaders; that God will strengthen them, equip them and protect them from spiritual attack. Please use the time you’d normally spend reading a longer blog to pray for those who lead our church.
